Cervo, Beyond Culture

MORE THAN JUST A WORKPLACE - #wearecervo

17.04.2025

In the middle of the impressive mountain world of Zermatt lies a special place: the CERVO Mountain Resort. More than just a workplace, more than just a hotel - CERVO is a way of life. Those who work here become part of a community that goes far beyond traditional employment relationships. This is where hospitality, lived values and personal development come together - with one goal: to create a genuine sense of togetherness.

Culture that works from the inside out

At CERVO, hospitality doesn't just start at reception, but within the team itself. The respectful, authentic and cordial interaction with each other characterises not only the daily work, but also the entire atmosphere in the hotel. The resort sees itself not only as a host for travellers from all over the world, but also for the people who work here. This understanding is the basis of a team culture that emphasises cohesion.

Under the motto #wearecervo, a dynamic corporate culture has emerged that creates space for individuality and at the same time promotes strong connections. The focus is not on the job alone, but on living and growing together. People should not only feel welcome - they should feel at home.

Staff activities - more than just excursions

Staff activities - regular activities organised by the management - are an integral part of the team culture at CERVO. They are as varied as the employees themselves and offer the opportunity to break up the daily work routine together and gain new experiences.

In the winter season, the programme ranged from crossfit sessions and snowshoe hikes with fondue to ice skating with mulled wine and relaxed billiards evenings. A particular highlight was the fondue evening at the Gitz Gädi restaurant on the Furi - followed by a sleigh ride back to the village.

The programme also included a snowboarding class for team members experiencing snow for the first time and an exclusive wine tasting with star-level tapas.

In addition to these special events, CERVO offers its employees regular opportunities for relaxation and regeneration. The free spa evenings invite you to enjoy the resort's wellness area in a peaceful atmosphere. Yoga and Pilates courses are also part of the regular programme and help to keep body and mind in balance.

What all activities have in common is the idea of being more than just a team. It's about creating an environment in which people feel comfortable, can get involved and experience mutual appreciation. Spending time together away from the daily work routine creates trust and strengthens communication - important foundations for effective collaboration in day-to-day operations.

This special form of team culture has an effect: those who experience themselves as part of a community are more motivated, more attentive and genuinely enjoy their work. Guests notice this too. It is often precisely these small, honest moments - a warm conversation, an open smile or an attentive detail - that they remember.

Work where others go on holiday - and arrive at the same time

The CERVO Mountain Resort impressively demonstrates what modern team culture can look like. It is a place where work, life and nature are harmonised. Where togetherness is not only cultivated, but actively shaped. And where every individual counts. A strong community is not created by rules - but by real encounters, experiences and the feeling of being part of something bigger.

That is the CERVO feeling - and you can feel it. Every day.
