Our Mountain Ashram Spa offers the best body and beauty treatments from the Eastern and Western worlds. The architecture of the Mountain Ashram Spa, which opens in December 2020, also reflects this holistic approach. The treatment rooms, saunas, relaxation zones, meditation areas and water facilities in the indoor and outdoor areas are spread over a total of 1,100 square metres.
The renowned Augsburg interior design firm dreimeta is responsible for the interior design. Natural materials such as granite and regional woods were used for the interior design. The surface technique with black-flamed wood, which was used for the spa, yoga and treatment rooms, for example, comes from Japan. Here, too, East and West merge in a subtle way.
The unique Mountain Ashram Spa with its postcard view of the Matterhorn captivates with its location high above Zermatt. The pole position of the CERVO Mountain Resort directly on the ski slope is also the only one in Zermatt with a natural pond and heated outdoor pool, an onsen bath.
Environmental awareness is very important to us. The spring water comes directly from the mountain, 99% of the heat is produced from geothermal energy, heat recovery from waste water and photovoltaics on the balconies.
From the summer season onwards, we will be offering a unique signature treatment that takes guests on a journey from Far East Asia to Europe: Signature Flow from East to West
"Our Signature Spa Treatment is a six-stop journey that cleanses and restores the body's energy from the outside in. We select the best treatments from Far East Asia to Europe, combine them and give the guest an authentic approach.
Our therapists have years of experience and know not only the treatments in function, but also the culture and philosophy behind them. This holistic approach runs through the entire Mountain Ahram Spa. For example, guests bathe in a traditional herbal hot stone bath from Bhutan, learn about Japanese bathing culture or cool off in the natural pond after a sauna like the northerners.
For the treatments, we use our own cosmetics line, which was developed especially for us. Here we have a face and body care line with the addition of Valais apricot, Alpine herbs, as well as Ayurvedic products for the treatments," says Ann-Kathrin Brüggemeier, spa manager since 2020.
She herself has lived in Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji. and Japan and brings the personally experienced to the table. She has also trained in other countries such as India, China, Turkey and Thailand.
