Nikoleta Nikisianli

17.10.2021

Nikoleta is a passionate yogini who, like most, initially came to yoga through the physical aspect. With her first teacher training in hatha and vinyasa yoga, she got to know and appreciate the yoga philosophy, as well as the meaning and benefits of meditation. Since then, yoga has grown into a companion that doesn’t just happen on the mat. She specializes in teaching gentle yoga styles such as yin yoga, tantra yoga and gentle flows and likes to incorporate breathing exercises and meditations in her classes to completely pamper and relax body and mind. In addition, she is a Thai-Yoga massage practitioner and has a great passion for food and cooking. She is an Ayurveda nutrition coach and offers Ayurveda consultations and cooking courses.

Gentle flow classes start with breathing perception and exercises and a warm-up and continue with gentle, slower flows, i.e. smooth transitions between the postures. Strengthening and stabilizing postures are practiced at a moderate pace, but in such a way that the circulation gets going right away. The class ends with a cool down and a final relaxation.

Yoga Nidra is also called the “yogic deep sleep”. With Yoga Nidra one reaches a deeply relaxed state, between sleeping and being awake. Yoga Nidra has a harmonizing effect, leads to relaxation of body and mind, just through a few minutes of practice. But it also has a regenerating effect and gives new strength. You just listen to the instructions and get into a different state of consciousness. Warning: you may fall asleep doing the practice, but that’s perfectly fine.
